Happy Days:
I have liked the play very much; Even being a really hard and sad plot about how loneliness is, they got to make it funny in several moments. What do you think about it? Have you like it in whole? Because I have asked to some people in my class and they don't!

The play was amazing. Beginning with the stage and continuing with the actuation of the main actress, Fiona (without removing the merito to the supporting actor who represents Willie)
Despite the horrific situation that lives the protagonist, the writer manages to fill it with hope and optimism whit the stronger of the woman to continue living happy days in her future, interspersing in the hyphen touches of humor, sometimes very critical.

The play was not amazing for me and even I was a little bored sometimes. I was waiting more pressure and anxiety from the plot, being borne in mind the reviews that I had read about it. Perhaps my disappointed feeling could have been caused for the stage: I had preferred an atmosphere more dark, closed and oppressive rather than it had in the theatre.
The performance from Winnie seemed good to me. She played a housewife who was filled with great loneliness, sadness and distress because of her long marriage. But she also had strokes of good humour, hope and adaptation capacity.

YES I´VE LIKED IT VERY MUCH ALTHOUGH THE PLOT WAS SAD AND MAYBE DEPRESSING I DID LIKE THE ACTING WHICH WAS MARVELLOUS,MS SHAW IS ONE OF THE BEST ACTRESS AT THE MOMENT AND SHE WAS INCREDIBLE IN THIS ROLE, ACTING WITH ONLY HALF HER BODY AND IN THE SECOND PART WITH ONLY HER HEAD VISIBLE!! COULD ONE OF OURS DO IT AND SOUND CONVINCING??? PENELOPE CRUZ FOR EXAMPLE. THE STAGE I LIKED TOO AND HER VOICE WAS PERFECT.THE PLAY ITSELF DIFFICULT TO LIKE.

"Happy Days" was, as expected a fantastic piece of art; very hard in its essence but extremely well performed by Ms.Shaw (some of our students recognised her as Harry Potter´s wicked aunt, wonderfully well-educated voice! he staging impressive, a real wilderness. Sorry Willies you did not come out very well; keep trying and leet´s see if you can grow up!!!

The second one was by Cristina, and she posted on Oct 20 too.

Happy Days,a marvellous play. Fiona Shaw was great, her excellent performance reached the audience. The talk with the director and the actors after the play was something we didn´t expect but highly enjoyable. We had the opportunity to learn about Deborah Warner´s views on the play and the playwright.

Happy days was really good. Ms. Shaw did a marvellous job with half her body buried in the first part of the play and buried up to the chin in the second part. Her voice did everything. She really touched the audience many of whom gave her a standing ovation that was most diserved. However I must say that I don´t like this kind of plays, we know that life is often horrible but do we want to see it told so??? The theatre that is new was nice although somebody told me that it stunk as the slaughter house did when she visited it years ago with the school.

Hi! The play is great. Fiona was brilliant, though I´d liked to be more near the stage. This is the first time I´ve gone to an english play, and I felt very good because I understood something!!!
I adore the theatre that makes think, but the success of the plays depends on the actors.
'Happy days are here again', sang Barbra Streisand. Listen to it!!

I really enjoyed the play because it got the message across but there was humour too. I haven´t seen Fiona Shaw before, I appreciate and admire her ability to act in front of a crowd like this.

May you live every day of your life. (Jonathan Swift)
